Only 72 days after walking down the aisle, the reality star and the NBA player are reportedly calling it quits.
“Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her,” Ryan Seacrest, who produces numerous Kardashian reality shows on E!, Tweeted.
According to TMZ, Kim cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce and the date of separation is listed as today, Oct. 31, 2011.
Kim has also reportedly hired famed divorce attorney Laura Wasser, who has repped Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie and Ryan Reynolds in the past.
Last week, Kim’s brother Rob Kardashian addressed rumors that his sister and new brother-in-law were having relationship woes telling Access that Kim was happy.
“That’s the world that we live in… it’s all about trying to break up newlyweds or trying to create drama over nothing… we have never listened to those comments,” the “Dancing with the Stars” contestant told Access on October 27. “My sister is completely happy, my family’s never been happier, she just got married so she should be happy.”
The couple reportedly has a prenuptial agreement.

Jon & Kate Plus 8 Editor Arrested on Child Porn Charge
William Blankinship, a TV editor who worked on TLC's Jon and Kate Plus 8 and other family-oriented reality TV, was arrested last week on child porn charges.
Blankinship, 56, has been charged with 10 counts of sex exploit of a minor, meaning he possessed photos and/or video of a minor engaged in sexual activity.
No bond has been set for the accused; he is likely "under the authority of the U.S. Marshals" until trial, a spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons said.
His employer wasted no time taking action. "Upon learning of the shocking allegations his employment was terminated," Figure 8 films said in a statement.
Fortunately, Blankinship was never in contact with the famous eight Gosselin kids, the 17 Duggar offspring or any other of TLC's stars, according to reports.
"At no time was this man ever in the field or in direct contact with any of the talent for any of our productions," the network said in its own statement.
Guliana Rancic Returning to Work
Just one week after announcing that she has breast cancer, Giuliana Rancic is back in the house at E! News. She will anchor E! News tonight as per usual.
"I'm so thrilled to get back to work and return to my E! family today," she said.
"I still have a long road ahead, but thanks to everyone's overwhelming love, support and prayers, it will be an easier journey. The E! viewers have helped me to get through this and stay strong more than they will ever know."
"I will be eternally grateful to them for their love," she added.
Guliana went public with her breast cancer diagnosis on October 17. She underwent surgery late last week and was placed on bed rest.
So what's next for everyone's favorite entertainment maven?
Husband Bill Rancic said that Giuliana is expected to start radiation treatment in about a month's time, "after she heals and has her strength back."
